Years of Investment and Management Experience

Our Story

From the shores of Lake Victoria, Big Best has grown into a trusted name in aquaculture. Our journey is fueled by a mission to deliver clean, naturally raised fish to communities across East Africa and Export Markets—fresh, affordable, and always on time.

What Sets Us Apart

Our Vision

By 2030, The Big Best Company Limited aims to become Eastern Africa's leading aquaculture enterprise — achieving monthly fish production exceeding 4,000 tons, operating fully integrated farm-to-fork operations, and setting the benchmark for sustainable aquaculture in the region.

We envision a future where our cage fish farms spanning Lake Victoria's waters produce nutritious, affordable protein for millions, while our aqua feed mill at Kisesa powers a growing network of out-grower farmers. We will achieve full loan repayment compliance, expand our cage capacity across multiple sites, and uplift the coastal communities that are part of our journey.

Our Vision 2030 is anchored in four pillars: production excellence, environmental stewardship, community empowerment, and food security — ensuring that our growth benefits both our stakeholders and the nation.

Our Mission

The Big Best Company Limited is on a mission to become Tanzania's most trusted aquaculture brand — delivering high-quality, safe, and affordable fish products while championing environmental sustainability and community well-being.

We achieve this through vertically integrated operations, modern farming technology, and an unwavering commitment to food safety and quality standards. Our team of dedicated professionals works tirelessly to ensure that every fish we produce meets the highest standards of excellence.

We believe that business success and social responsibility go hand in hand. By providing fair wages, professional development opportunities, and supporting community projects, we create shared value for our employees, partners, and the nation.
